Formula and Ingredients
IMEDEEN skincare tablets are based on natural ingredients. They do not contain lactose, added sugar, preservatives or artificial flavoring.
Fish oils are an energy source and building blocks for cell membranes while fish proteins are building blocks for various proteins including collagen, fibrillin, and elastin, which are important to the structure and density of the skin. Marine proteins contain high amounts of both essential and non-essential amino acids. Amino acids are direct building blocks for numerous vital proteins in the body. The skin is no exception. Of special importance in the skin are collagen and elastin proteins, important for the structure and density of the skin. Marine proteins contain high amounts of amino acids and peptides directly involved in the formation (synthesis) of collagen and elastin. Fish oils are made of fatty acids and glycerol. Their main function in the body, including the skin, is as an energy source and building blocks for cell membranes. Fish oils contain a large proportion of omega-3 fatty acids, which play an important role in maintaining membrane fluidity.
The Marine Complex, exclusive to IMEDEEN´s anti-ageing skincare tablets, is an extract rich in proteins and polysaccharides similar to those naturally found in the skin's supportive tissue which are essential for skin structure and moisture.
The Marine Complex in IMEDEEN's anti-ageing skincare tablets is not kosher. However Tan Optimizer does not contain the Marine Complex.
IMEDEEN skincare tablets do not contain fat. Furthermore, in scientific tests, six months intake of IMEDEEN skincare tablets caused no change in weight on average.
Grape seed extract is derived from Vitis Vinifera – a white grape variety used in champagne production.
Grape seed extract effectively decreases the amount of free radicals in aqueous (water-based) environments such as cell plasma. Furthermore, it accumulates in connective tissue that is rich in proteins and polysaccharides, such as the skin.
The lycopene is extracted from red, ripe, specially grown, non-genetically modified tomatoes.
Lycopene is the pigment that gives ripe tomatoes and other fruits their bright red colour. Its molecular configuration makes it one of the best natural free radical scavengers. It plays an important role in defending lipophilic (fat-based) environments, such as the cell membranes, against degradation by free radicals.
An antioxidant helps defend the skin against the signs of ageing by neutralizing free radicals. Found naturally in the body and skin, antioxidants are stable molecules from which free radicals can "steal" an extra electron. Once they have acquired an extra electron, free radicals are neutralized. In this way, antioxidants effectively help defend the skin against free radical damage and prevent premature ageing.
Polysaccharides are the sugar molecules that create the moisture binding gel-like substance in the skin. These molecules can bind up to 1,000 times their weight in moisture and are responsible for the skin's hydration.
